I've never developed an immensely popular and profitable intellectual property before, so I have no idea what the motivation would be to sell your baby to a company that shelved Invader Zim and shows reruns of Spongebob ad nauseam, but I don't care for it.

Happy 25th anniversary, TMNT...

Sounds fine with me. I hate 4kids Entertainment. They're an over glorified, very bad dubbing company.

Something you don't seem to realize, is the TMNT franchise was sold years ago. Kevin Eastman doesn't even have anything to do with it, nor has he for years. Peter Laird is still fairly active with it, but they've handed it off years and years ago.
I think Nick will handle it better.

I knew Eastman got bought out back in his "Buy the Batmobile, marry a porn star, run Heavy Metal" days, but I didn't know that 4Kids was a controlling participant.

Either way, I still want to see the Turtles Forever movie.

I didn't think they were either. I thought thought they were a licensee, and the franchise was controlled by Playmates, or some such.

As far as I know, Laird owned Mirage, and Mirage licensed TMNT to Playmates, 4Kids, and all the other companies. This means that Mirage is essentially done for.

One Piece that is all

as for TMNT, off the top of my head, what else does Mirage have?

I believe that is it, for Mirage. They were founded to publish TMNT. They've had a few other titles, but I believe currently, it's back down to the original TMNT again.
