Jurassic Park is dead.

Or is it?

Universal made the anouncement several months back, that they have abandoned Jurassic Park as a franchise, and shall persue no further sequels.

However, recently Hasbro has released a limited line of JP3 (YUCK. Hated those toys) repaints as a Toys R Us exclusive. Solely to preserve the JP lisence for future use.

Coincidentally, Hasbro and Discovery Channel have recently announced a brand new Hasbro Channel, featuring shows and cartoons based on Hasbro properties. This new channel will replace the existing Discovery Kids channel, and will fill an identical niche to Nicktoons. Airing educational cartoons during the days, and switching to programming for older kids and kid-at-heart adults in the evening and nights. (Nicktoons does this by showing shows like Dora daytime, and Avatar at night).

Now, in case none of you guys realized... dinosaurs are very popular with children. ;P I know, I know... that comes as a shock.
Universal (I think) has long been using the Jurassic Park name as an educational tool, by creating the Jurassic Park Institute, to help teach kids about dinosaurs.

So. What we have here.

Hasbro, suddenly actively trying to preserve a lisence that's being abandoned by the studio that's declaired themselves to be finished with it.

Hasbro and Discovery teaming up for a brand new channel based on hasbro licenses.

Hasbro/Discovery actively looking for shows to fill this new channel.

Could there be a new Jurassic Park animated series on the way?
