The script is fabulous, the acting is fantastic [s]for TOS[/s], and . . . okay, there's some cheese, but altogether, it's quite heart-wrenching. Episodes enjoyed for the lulz: Catspaw is the funniest thing to MST with a group of friends ever.
Episodes enjoyed for both reasons: I also love Squire of Gothos simply because the titular character is such a delightfully hammy fella, along the lines of Q, who is probably my favorite TNG-and-later character. It's also one of the first episodes I saw that convinced me that hey, Star Trek's pretty swell, so I guess there's an element of nostalgia there.
