Not surprising. It was ported from Showtime to NBC alongside "Masters of Science Fiction," when canceled when reality shows were shown to be more profitable than scripted shows (CSI notwithstanding).

Masters of Horror was a bipolar frenzy. The episodes were either MAJOR hits or MAJOR misses, and this series follows in the footsteps. The John Landis-directed episodes always work well, however. The MoH Landis episodes included a legend about a Deer Woman, and Norm from Cheers as a doting father to a family of skeletons (all of whom he lovingly collected). The Fear Itself Landis Episode features a murderer at a wedding, with humor and mayhem to follow. Not the typical fare for the Biggest Loser audience...
